DaNaSa Section II: Attack| Chapter VI

 “Dani?” Nathei whispered as she peeked her head into Dani’s room.

 “Yeah Nat?” Dani asked as she flipped the page in the book she was reading. When no answer came she looked up from her book. “Nathei what is it?” Dani asked setting aside her book.

 “I thought you were…” Terror lit up Nathei’s eyes.

 “Nathei?” Dani asked as she stood up and slowly approached her.

 “No! S-Stay back!” Nathei screamed, terrified. Dani stopped in her tracks as she stared, startled, at Nathei.

 “Nathei, please, what’s wrong?” Dani asked.

 “How the hell did you escape?” Nathei asked. Dani took a few steps forward.

 “Nathei what are you….” Nathei held out a knife.

 “I-I said stay back!” She said.

 “Nathei listen! I’m not going to hurt you. You’ve known me for five years! I’ve never hurt you! Now what is this?” Dani asked, slowly taking another step towards her.

 “You’re a criminal! You should still be locked up! Wait… why were you in Dani’s room…” Nathei’s face paled. “Where’s Dani?”

 “Nathei please stop this. I’m right here.” Dani begged as tears brimmed her hazel coloured eyes.

 “T-Tell me where she is or… or I’ll hurt you!” Dani’s face paled.

 “Nathei no…” She whispered and without thinking hurried towards her. Nathei swung at her and Dani grabbed her wrist. “Nathei listen to me!” Nathei struggled in her grip and managed to knock Dani off of her feet and off her feet as well. Nathei landed on top of her. Quickly pulling away from her she tried to stab Dani and Dani grabbed the blade of the knife with her hand before Nathei could stab her.

 “N-Nathei… please snap out of it.” Dani begged as tears slowly fell down her cheeks. Nathei blinked and soon realized it was Dani and dropped the blade.

 “D-Dani?” She breathed as she stumbled backwards off of her.

 “Nathei what…” Dani slowly tried to approach her.

 “No s-stay back…. I might…” Tears fell down Nathei’s flushed cheeks as she got up and ran out of the room almost running to Sathra.

 “Nathei are you…” Nathei didn’t stop and quickly ran past her. Sathra watched her run out of the room before turning around to see Dani standing in her doorway with a bloody hand. “Dani what happened?” Sathra breathed.

 “Something’s wrong with Nat.” Dani said. “S… She attacked me, Sath.” Sathra stared at her in shock as her heart shattered.

 “S-She attacked you,” Sathra slowly walked over to Dani and stared down at Dani’s bleeding hand. “Let me see it,” Sathra muttered and after a moment of hesitation she opened her hand, to let Sathra see the wounds. “God you’re going to need stiches.”

 “I’ll go see the doc and have her stich me up just… go find Nathei.” Dani whispered and Sathra nodded. Sathra gave her a small smile before running after Nathei.
